Sessions are facilitated by “Master Gardeners” and other professionals, who will teach about how seeds grow, the difference between “good bugs and not-so-good bugs” and composting. Kids will also keep a journal to document what they have learned by participating in the club and sign up for a rotating watering and weeding schedule, a release stated.
A Harvest Festival will be held in the autumn to celebrate the hard work dedicated to building and maintaining the community garden. The club will meet Saturdays from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on the following dates: March 19, April 2, April 23, May 14, May 21, June 4 and June 18.
