Caldwell Police Dept. Joins Facebook and Twitter

The added Facebook and Twitter to its jurisdiction this week.

The agency joined both social media websites on Thursday, according to Chief James Bongiorno.

"Please follow us as we will be posting news and information which will assist the citizens of Caldwell," states a post on the brand new Facebook page with 92 followers and growing (as of Thursday at 10 p.m.).

The CPD also posted a they believe stole a purse from an employee at Coldwell Banker. Look familiar? The post instructs readers to contact the Caldwell Police Department at 973-226-2600.

Twitter users can also follow the CPD @Caldwell_Police to get breaking news as well as useful information, such as this safety tip tweeted Thurdsay night: "CPD would like to remind residents to keep doors and windows locked and keep valuables in a secure location when unattended."
