Good Samaritan Helped Save Caldwell Woman From Home Fire, Town Officials Say
Jamie Moreno helped to save a woman from her burning home on Hatfield Street, town officials say.

Caldwell officials recently honored a man who they credited with saving a woman from her burning home in October.
During the Caldwell Town Council meeting on Nov. 5, Mayor Ann Dassing and council members presented Jamie Moreno with a proclamation honoring his bravery.
According to town officials’ and Moreno’s account of the incident, the North Bergen resident was driving a truck on delivery with his co-worker when they spotted smoke coming from a home on Hatfield Street.

That was when he and his co-worker leaped into action, rushing into the home and opening the door for a trapped woman inside.
“I did not have fear of the fire because in that moment, I didn’t think of much but helping her,” Moreno said, reported NewJerseyHills.com.
