Caldwell Rotary Appoints President, Honors University Leader

The Rotary Club of the Caldwells held its annual installation dinner at the Richfield Regency in Verona.

CALDWELL, NJ — The Rotary Club of the Caldwells held its annual installation dinner at the Richfield Regency in Verona last month, appointing Jennifer Hawley of Caldwell as its president.

According to a news release from the Rotary Club, Hawley is the vice president/director of retail banking - northern region at Kearney Bank. A member of the club since 2013, she served as chair of the Rotary/Kiwanis Street Fair in 2016 during its 25th year.

Hawley was one of thirteen recipients of the NJ Bankers League 2016 New Leaders in Banking Award, awarded to emerging banking leaders in the state of N J under the age of 40. She is a certified financial literacy instructor and also a member of the North Essex Chamber of Commerce.

During its June 27 meeting, the Rotary Club also honored Nancy Blattner, president of Caldwell University, with the “S.M. ‘Sam’ Kent Service Above Self Award.”

Blattner, a local Kiwanis member, has made “substantial contributions to the community,” club members stated.
