Based on J.M. Barrie's play, Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up, in Peter Pan JR. Wendy, Michael and John Darling meet Peter Pan when the mysterious boy and a fairy named Tinker Bell enter their nursery in search of Peter’s lost shadow. Peter whisks his new friends away to Neverland, an island with “hardly any space between one adventure and the other.” There, Peter introduces the Darling children to the Lost Boys, children who never grow up. The crew launches into a great adventure where they encounter Brave Girls, and Pirates led by the dreaded Captain Hook. Challenges ensue when the Darling children are ensnared in Captain Hook’s sinister plan to seek revenge on Peter.

Since its inception 25 years ago, the Trinity Academy Drama Club has continued to expand, giving students in grades five through eight the opportunity to learn about acting, make-up, scenery, costumes, props, lighting and stage management.

This year, the Drama Club members are also getting a lesson in giving back. In 1929, Sir J.M. Barrie bequeathed the rights to Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, which has benefited thousands of children since then. Trinity Academy is proud to say that during this production we will be collecting children’s clothing to be donated to TUESDAY'S CHILDREN - an organization that serves communities altered by acts of violence.
