Caldwell Synagogue Hosts ‘Milk and Bookies’ Event
Who doesn't love cookies and a good story?

CALDWELL, NJ — On Dec. 9, the Congregation Agudath Israel Early Childhood Center in Caldwell hosted its first ever “Milk and Bookies” event. More than 50 families including non-members attended after visiting and shopping the congregation’s annual book fair, which features a variety of book selections from beginner readers’ material to Jewish-themed literature.
During the event, Early Childhood Center Director Geula Zamist read books and performed interactive activities including puppets, songs, role plays, props and finger plays.
Milk and giant chocolate chip cookies provided the proverbial icing on the top of the cake, organizers said.
