Caldwell University Freshmen Earn All-Region Honors for Track and Field

Treston Forbes and Jevaughn Jackson recognized by U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Caldwell University freshmen Treston Forbes (Chicago, IL/St. Rita) and Jevaughn Jackson (St. Elisabeth, Jamaica/Ardenne) were among the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association’s all-East Region honorees.

According to a release, Forbes and Jackson posted a top-five performance in the East Region, which includes schools from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, the East Coast Conference and the Northeast 10 Conference.

Forbes posted the East Region’s fifth-fastest time in the 200 meters this season, running a 21.86 at the Georgian Court University Last Chance Meet on May 8. Last week Forbes won both the 100 and 200 at the CACC Championships and helped the Cougars win the conference title in the 4x400 meter relay.

Jackson cleared 6-6 (1.93 meters) at the Coach P Invitational, held at Moravian College on Apr. 10. The mark also ranks fifth in the East Region this season. Jackson, who was second in the high jump and first in the triple jump at the CACC Championships, also ran on the 4x400 meter relay team with Forbes.

Forbes and Jackson competed on Caldwell’s first men’s track and field team during the program’s inaugural season this spring.
