Caldwell-West Caldwell U12 Girls Travel Team Places Second in Fall Tournament

The Middies, the U12 Girls Caldwell-West Caldwell Travel Soccer team, celebrated a second place finish in the Columbus Day weekend Pequannock Fall Classic Soccer Tournament.

Over the course of two days on Oct. 10 and 11, the Middies braved cold weather, frost-tinged fields, and a 7:15 am check-in time to best opponents from Morristown, Jefferson Township and Hackettstown. 

The Middies had one game that resulted in a tie against Wanaque. Since both teams won their remaining games, the overall tournament winner was determined by the total number of goals scored, with Wanaque finishing in first place and the Middies taking second.

The Middies play in the Morris County Youth Soccer Association. They are coached by MaryJo Buoye, Wayne Costigan and UK Elite Trainer Sarah Brady.
