Caldwells Obitutary: Mary Lynn Ventola

Longtime West Caldwell resident Mary Lynn Ventola passed away on Sept. 2.

She was 73-years-old.

The following obituary comes courtesy of the Galante Funeral Home:

“Mary Lynn Ventola (nee Florio), 73, of West Caldwell, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Mountainside Hospital in Glenridge.

“Mary was born in Bronx, NY and lived in West Caldwell since 1971. She was a 1963 graduate of St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in Hoboken and then worked at Jacoby Hospital and Albert Einstein Hospital both in the Bronx.

“Mary was a Past President of Mothers of Multiples of Essex County and Past President of HSA at Lincoln School in Caldwell, as well as a library assistant at West Caldwell Library. She was very devoted and involved at St. Aloysius Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister and recently appointed as a Domenican Associate, which she was very proud of.

“Her greatest joy in life was being a mother and homemaker.

“Beloved mother of Rick Ventola and his wife Melanie, and Missy Haas and husband James; sister of Bill Florio and his wife Irene, Donna Conroy and her husband John, and the late Linda Vecchio; loving grandmother of Brendan, Sean, Chloe, and Carly.

“Charitable donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the following organization: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.”
