THE CALDWELLS, NJ — The skies are expected to finally clear up Friday. That’s the latest weather forecast for the Caldwell area, which could see up to an inch of rain this week.
The Caldwells are under a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Tuesday night, according to the National Weather Service.
The rain will keep coming throughout the week, with sunny skies finally emerging in time for the weekend, forecasters say.

Here’s how the rest of the week is expected to shake out, as per the NWS:
Tuesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11pm. Some of the storms could be severe. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. Light northeast wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Wednesday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Northeast wind around 6 mph.
Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11pm and 2am, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2am. Low around 66. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am, then a chance of showers between 8am and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. High near 83. West wind 3 to 8 mph. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a chance of showers between 11pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Light west wind. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
