The Mueller Gallery at Caldwell University presents Afield, an exhibition featuring the work of painter Annie Norbeck. The exhibition will be held from Friday, September 4th, to Wednesday, September 30, 2026. An artist’s talk will take place at the Mueller Gallery in the Student Center / Visceglia Hall on Wednesday, September 23 from 5-6pm followed by a reception from 6:00-8:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
In Afield, painter Annie Norbeck explores the visual and emotional landscape of being far from home. This recent body of work investigates the specific compression that occurs when a stable horizon is viewed through the window of a moving car or train, dissolving familiar terrain into arrangements of light, color, and form.
