Friday, October 16, 2026, Legacy Of A Hero, The L/Cpl Chris Cosgrove III Foundation, Inc., will host a "Casino Night" fundraiser at the American Legion, 13 Legion Place in Whippany, NJ.  

Doors open at 6:00pm.  Games begin at 7:30pm.  Advanced registration is required.  The cost is $100.00 per person which includes beer, wine, soda, hors d’oeuvres, dessert, coffee AND $100 in casino play money and 2 raffle tickets for the casino prizes. No one under 21 is permitted to attend this event.  Games conclude at 10:30 when prizes will be drawn.

This event is being held in honor of a prior board member and friend Kathy Ascensao.  In her memory, a portion of the proceeds from this event will be used to sponsor a training program for military veterans in partnership with America’s VetDogs. For more info visit https://www.vetdogs.org/

50/50 tickets will be sold the night of the event and are being sold at various locations before the event.  

The mission of Legacy Of A Hero, The Lance Corporal Chris Cosgrove III Foundation, Inc., is to provide financial support to scholarships and individuals or their families who are in need as a result of their service to our country while in the U.S. military, particularly the US Marine Corps as well as Police, Fire and other First Responders in the NY, NJ, PA and CT areas
