Car Stolen In North Caldwell; Cops Issue Warning

A car was stolen in the "southern end of town," North Caldwell police said. Read their advisory here.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The North Caldwell Police Department issued a warning to residents and local vehicle owners on Wednesday after a car was recently stolen in the “southern end of town.”

According to the North Caldwell PD:

“The NCPD is always reminding our residents to lock their cars and not leave the keys inside. We are asking for everyone to please help us help you by deterring car thieves and giving us a better chance to catch suspicious people in town by not giving them a quick vehicle to get away in… [In addition], leaving outside lights on helps to deter thieves from walking around and looking for unlocked vehicles.”

Police said that there is an active investigation into “an active ring of car thieves in the area looking for high-end cars.”
