Archbishop of Newark Joseph Tobin will bless the newly renovated chapel Saturday. It's named for the man who founded the church 60 years ago

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Cardinal Joseph Tobin, the archbishop of Newark, will bless the newly renovated Father Murphy Chapel at Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell on Sunday, according to a report.
New Jersey Hills noted that the cardinal will preside over the 5 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Feb. 12 at the church, at 359 Central Ave.
According to a history of the church, "Notre Dame was founded in 1962. Fr. John Murphy. The founding pastor had to find land and funds for a new church, rectory, and school. At first a
home served as rectory and a temporary site for daily celebration of the Eucharist. Sunday Masses were celebrated in the auditorium of West Essex High School.
