The owner of the pants wants to sell because he's "disillusioned about the situation involving Christie and Trump," the eBay ad says.

A pair of shorts recently posted for sale on eBay may have inadvertently captured the sentiment of many disillusioned supporters of the governor’s failed Presidential run.

The shorts – complete with signature - are the property of a New Jersey resident who identifies themselves as a “former employee of Chris Christie” and claims to have won the governor’s trunks at a fundraising action at the beginning of his term.

The pants reportedly read "Stay in shape, best wishes… Chris Christie, Gov. NJ.”
According to the seller, the sale is a “once in a lifetime chance to own something unique” before the “whole crazy mess will be over.”

Allegedly, the straw that broke the camel’s back was Christie’s support of his former adversary and current Presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
“The former owner of the pants is willing to sell them because he is disillusioned about the situation involving Christie and Trump,” the eBay ad states.

As of Thursday morning, with two days and eight hours remaining in the auction, the highest bid was $202.50.
