Christie Reappoints West Caldwell Man To NJ/Israel Commission

Outgoing New Jersey governor Chris Christie has reappointed West Caldwell resident Gary Botwinick to the state New Jersey/Israel Commission.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — Outgoing New Jersey governor Chris Christie recently reappointed West Caldwell resident Gary Botwinick to the New Jersey-Israel Commission for a two-year term that will end on Feb. 1, 2019.

According to a news release from Denville-based law firm Einhorn Harris, where Botwinick chairs the Taxation/Trusts & Estates Department, the New Jersey-Israel Commission was established in 1989. The commission implements the goals of the “Sister State Agreement”: to promote the development of trade, culture and educational exchanges, encourage the development of capital investment and joint business ventures and to foster a spirit of cooperation between the citizens of the state of Israel and residents of the state of New Jersey.

“We were excited that our governor has reappointed Gary to the New Jersey-Israel Commission for a second term,” said Patricia Barbarito, managing partner at Einhorn Harris. “We are confident that with Gary’s experience and work ethic, he will continue to serve the governor’s New Jersey-Israel Commission with precision and excellence.”
