Cops Arrest Suspected Shooter Within 24 Hours In Paterson
The bicycle-riding Paterson man allegedly shot a 44-year-old in the leg.

Paterson police have arrested a 35-year-old resident suspected of shooting a man in the leg on Saturday.
Paterson police apprehended Davelle Silver on Sunday in the area of Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue following an investigation.
According to police, around 10:45 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to 12 Avenue between Rosa Parks Boulevard and East 18 Street on a report of “shots fired” from the city’s Shot-Spotter gunshot detection system.

On arrival, officers found a 44-year-old Paterson man with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim told police that a male dressed in black and riding a bicycle approached him, produced a handgun and fired, striking him in the leg as he attempted to run away.

A subsequent investigation identified Silver as the suspect, police stated.
He was charged with attempted murder and weapons offenses.
