The employee told police her purse was on the floor behind the reception desk when the suspect entered the real estate business through the rear Academy Road entrance. He said he was waiting for his wife and asked to use the bathroom, which she said was broken.

She asked him to wait in the reception area. The employee said she left the area and when she returned the man was gone, and so was her purse.
