Earthquake in Nepal: Caldwell University to Hold Candlelight Walk on Wednesday Night
Campus-wide vigil will be done in to show support and sympathy for recent tragedy.

In sympathy with the victims of the recent earthquake in Nepal, Caldwell University will be holding an on-campus “Pray for Nepal Candlelight Walk” at 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 29.
The vigil will take place in the Student Center Gym at Caldwell University, 120 Bloomfield Ave., in Caldwell.
It will feature talks from students, prayers and a video presentation, stated organizers.

According to a CNN report, more than 4,800 victims died in a massive earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday.
Up to one million children are now “urgently in need of help,” the report stated.

Colette Liddy, director of media relations at Caldwell University, told Patch that the university currently has 33 Nepalese students.
“The university has been proud to host many students from Nepal who have been studying on our campus for the past several years,” Liddy stated. “We will gather as a campus community to show support for our students from Nepal, to honor everyone who have lost their lives in the recent earthquake, and to learn more about how we can support the people of Nepal.”
