Essex County Homebrew Beer Contest Now Accepting Entries

Are you an Essex County resident with a “can’t miss” home-brewed beer recipe?
Get a few spare sample bottles ready… they could win you the title of “2015 Uncorked and Uncapped Brew Master.”
On Thursday, Sept. 24, nonprofit The Arc of Essex County will hold its 2015 “Uncorked and Uncapped – Wine, Beer & Food Fest” at The Westminster Hotel in Livingston, which will include a homebrew beer contest.

“Any and all styles of beer, mead and cider are welcome,” the contest rules state. “They will be judged with tastiness as the primary merit.”
All entrants must complete an online entry form by Monday, Sept. 14.

Entry for the beer crafting contest is free.
All attendees at the $100 fundraising event will receive a voting ticket and can cast a ballot for their favorite beer.
According to a release, the fundraising event will benefit The Arc of Essex County and the nearly 1,500 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families who utilize their programs and services.
