The cheese will be for sale by Affinage and the granola and biscotti will be for sale through Jane Yagoda, owner of A Gardener’s Kitchen.
A Gardener’s Kitchen is an artisanal food company based in Montclair specializing in packaged, locally sourced granola and biscotti. These products are “clean,” meaning they are made with no chemicals; all ingredients are organic and grown either in Yagoda’s own garden or with other local growers.
Tastings will include Goat Gouda cheese, Sheep’s milk yogurt and Mascarpone with A Gardener’s Kitchen granola—there are two different kinds, both are wheat and dairy-free: double oat with dried cranberries, raisins, ground flax and walnuts and almond granola with dried cherries, dried papaya and sunflower seeds.
This event is free and open to the public. It is a perfect opportunity to get inspired and learn how to prepare attractive and tasty hors d’oeuvres for Easter, Passover and all of the upcoming graduation parties. Pre-orders for holiday cheese platters will be taken at this time. The biscotti are nut-free and there are two types as well: bittersweet chocolate with a hint of orange and cornmeal biscotti with dried cherries, apricots, vanilla bean and lemon rind. These amazing treats will be paired with Triple-cream Brie and fresh goat cheese.
Affinage Cheese Shop is open every day, Monday through Friday from 11am to 7pm, Saturdays 10am to 6pm and Sundays 10am to 5pm.
