
This delightful one-act opera was written especially for children and lasts approximately 5o minutes. Performed entirely in English, it was premiered on Christmas Eve 1951 on NBC television. The story tells of a poor crippled shepherd boy and his mother who are visited by three kings searching for the Christ child.
Many folks from the community are performing including Washington School 5th Grader, Ben Mulick,as Amahl and West Caldwell resident, Jaime Maraviglia, as his mother. West Caldwell residents, Troy Guinn-Bailey and Kevin Pasternak play the roles of King Kaspar and King Balthazar.
