Annual Abraham Lunch: An Interfaith Lunch and Panel Discussion

All are invited to the Annual Abraham Lunch when the spiritual children of Abraham from the Christian, Jewish and Muslim traditions gather to build friendships, understanding, and appreciation of our diversity and shared values.  All are invited to come for a delicious lunch of Turkish Cuisine prepared by our Muslim friends of the Interfaith Dialogue Center.  After lunch we will view parts a 2009 documentary entitled Talking Through Walls (as seen on PBS) which depicts the challenges and joys of an interfaith coalition working together in Vorhees NJ.  There will then be a brief panel discussion featuring: Rabbi Richard Hammerman, Congregation Adudath Israel in Caldwell, Father Anthony Randazzo, Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church in North Caldwell, the Rev. Stephanie Wethered, St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Essex Fells, and Dr. Levent Koc, Executive Director of the Interfaith Dialogue Center.

We have room and food for the first 120 people to RSVP.  Lunch is provided by our generous friends at the Interfaith Dialogue Center, but we need to know numbers by Sunday, January 16, 2011.  For more information and to reserve a seat at the table, please send your emails to the Rev. Jeff Markay, Senior Pastor at the United Methodist Church in Caldwell, NJ: revjmarkay@earthlink.net or call the church office at 973-226-4410.
