This dinner is a fund raiser for the troop’s High Adventure experiences. The dinner will feature pasta, meatballs, sauce, salad, bread, dessert and beverages.
There are three national High Adventures for Boy Scouts, Northern Tier in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota & Canada, Philmont Ranch in New Mexico, and Sea Base in the Florida Keys. This year Troop 9 has patrols going to both Philmont and Sea Base. At Philmont, the boys go on backpack treks and learn various skills such as search and rescue, rock climbing, archery and branding as well as fly, tie, and trout fishing, just to name a few choices they have. At Sea Base, the boys will experience snorkeling and or SCUBA diving, fishing, and sailing and learn about marine biology.
The cost for the dinner is $9.00 for adults, $6.00 for kids under 12 and seniors, or $25.00 for a family. Reservations are suggested and can be made by sending an email to fundraiser@cwcsi.org. Tickets will be available at the door.
