Caldwell College Presents 'The Calling'

Caldwell College invites the public to a viewing of the documentary "The Calling," which explores explores the nature of belief, the bonds of family and the joys and anxieties of those who are drawn to religious life.

Winner of this year's Best International Documentary award at the seventh annual Queens International Film Festival, "The Calling" follows Orlando Castillo, a young man who embraces religious life, and the members of Catholic community who aid the poor in Lima, Peru.  

Director/Producer/Cinematographer David A. Ranghelli will speak at the screening , which will be held at Caldwell College's Alumni Theatre on April 14 at 6:30 p.m.

The film has been an Official Selection at numerous film festivals, including Gasparilla International, Breckenridge and the Chicago Latino Film Festival.

David A. Ranghelli is a New York-based filmmaker who has worked for HBO, PBS, NFL Films and National Geographic, to name a few. "The Calling" marks his directorial debut. For more information on the film, visit www.thecallingdocumentary.com.
