Carolyn Messina To Celebrate Release of Debut CD at Rockn’ Joe’s

Singer/Songwriter Carolyn Messina of Fairfield, NJ, will be performing a 2-hour acoustic concert at Rockn' Joe's in Caldwell on Friday, January 29^th to celebrate the release of her debut CD "Singer/Songwriter." The CD, which was first released through CDBaby.com, is now being distributed through iTunes, Amazon and other internet sites. The 12-track CD features original songs, including "The Fall (9/11)," "Walls," and "Give Me Strength." Carolyn will be joined by 16-yr-old guest vocalist Desiree Lipoma of Fairfield, who also performed with her on January 17^th at the legendary club, The Bitter End in New York City.  Rockn' Joe's Coffeehouse & Bistro is located at 339 Bloomfield Ave in Caldwell, NJ.  Music starts at 8:00 pm. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome.

Carolyn Messina's music has been described as Acoustic/Folk Rock – a blend of Joan Baez and Melissa Etheridge. She has a passion for writing music that tells a story, a gift for creating memorable melodies, and a profound understanding of the real world and the people who live in it today. She has been playing piano and guitar almost her entire life and has been writing original music and lyrics since she was a teenager.

Messina continues to perform her original music at venues throughout New Jersey and New York, including The Bitter End, The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, Crossroads in Garwood, The Fine Grind in Little Falls, and Café Latte in Clifton. Messina will also be one of the featured performers in a Songwriter Showcase at The Christopher Street Coffeehouse (St John's Church, 81 Christopher Street, NYC) on February 4^th (7-10pm).
