On Thursday, February 24th, County Executive DiVincenzo and the Essex County Office of Small Business Development and Affirmative Action invite business owners to attend a free Credit Management Workshop. The Credit Management Workshop will explain the influence that a business owner’s personal finances have over their ability to obtain financing or a line of credit for their business. This interactive training program will provide business owners with hands-on experience in developing effective credit management strategies. They will learn credit fundamentals and develop skills that will produce better business results. Among the topics to be covered are: how specific information in a credit report affects a credit score, how to avoid certain credit report entries, how to develop and implement a strategy to improve your credit score, how to complete a personal credit report analysis, how to protect your credit score and an explanation about credit score models and business credit scores.
