On Saturday March 31, 2012, Essex Fells will be 110 yrs old. In recognition of this event, the West Essex Amateur Radio Club (WEARC) wil be holding a special event operating session. The members will be making contacts with other ham radio operators from around the world. During the contact, the member operating will be giving out some historical facts about Essex Fells. Once the contact has been completed, the remote operator can send QSL card ( a postcard with the contact info ) to the club to confirm the contact. WEARC will return a commemorative certificate. The public is invited to attend the event. Anyone interested in operating will have a chance to make a contact. The special event will be operating from the Essex Fells Service Building located at 307 Runnymede Road, 2nd floor, Essex Fells. The event will run from 10am to around 2pm.
