Garden State Opera Presents Il Tabarro by Puccini and Il Negozio (World Premiere) by Francesco Santelli

 Both operas will be sung in Italian with English supertitles. Puccini's one act Il Tabarro (The Cloak) is set on a barge in Paris and tells a story of betrayal and murder. Il Negozio is set in a small village store outside of Rome. There is much activity and some confusion while the proprietor tries to maintain some semblance of order and dignity. The Garden State Opera performs in northern New Jersey with singers and musicians from the NYC metro area. Founder and artistic director, Francesco Santelli, has conducted many opera and orchestral performances in the U.S. and Italy.
