Literary Civil War

A "Literary Civil War" will be presented on Sunday, October 23 at 2:00 pm in the Community Room. Community leaders will read a variety of inspiring selections of Civil War writings including poems by Walt Whitman, the "Gettysburg Address," an excerpt from "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher Stowe, an excerpt from Stephen Crane's "The Red Badge of Courage," and an excerpt from Louisa May Alcott's "Hospital Sketches."

Some of the readers include Mayor Tempesta, Dr. Dan Gerardi (Superintendent), Roxanne Douglas, Marilyn Rubino (Library Board President), John Pascal and Lila Rubin.
