
Local Musicians to Perform at the Tasty CoCo in Caldwell on March 19
Four Wednesday Night "Open Mic regulars" will be performing together at The Tasty CoCo Cafe on Friday night, March 19, 7:30pm - 10:00pm.
Evan Basta of Caldwell (viola, mandolin); Travis Fischbach of Caldwell (guitar, vocals); Michael Iritsky of West Caldwell (guitar, vocals); and Carolyn Messina of Fairfield (guitar, bass, vocals).
The night will feature original arrangements of songs spanning five decades of music, including current radio hits from Green Day, Snow Patrol, Brandon Heath, Five For Fighting, Secondhand Serenade; and classics from Simon & Garfunkel, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Eagles, Kansas, Everly Brothers, The Beatles and more, including some original songs.
There is NO COVER CHARGE for the show. But get there early, space is limited.

Carolyn Messina, a graduate of West Essex High School and William Paterson University, has been playing piano since she was 4 years old. A singer/songwriter with two CDs of original songs, Carolyn has been performing at coffeehouses and clubs throughout New Jersey and New York, including The Bitter End and The Stone Pony. Evan Basta is a junior at James Caldwell High School. He is a classical violist in the New York Youth Symphony, has studied Jazz and improvisation at Montclair State University, and plans on majoring in Music Performance when he attends college.
Michael Iritsky, a graduate of James Caldwell High School, has been singing since he was 3 years old. He has performed in numerous productions at Trinity Theatrical and plans to focus on musical theater at college.
Travis Fischbach, a graduate of James Caldwell High School, is currently a freshman at Temple University. He is a self-proclaimed "music geek," playing guitar, bass, saxophone and violin, and also enjoys writing songs and poems.
Both Michael and Travis are members of the TriStar Chorus, an a cappela group consisting of young men, ages 13-25, from the Tri-State Area. In 2009, they were awarded the Plateua A Champions at the Midwinter International Convention.
