And I found myself having more fun, and seeing more and learning more, and meeting more wonderful people than I did in all my years of touring in the Mavericks," says Raul of the difference between his days as frontman for the Mavericks and his current solo career. Were you some of those "wonderful people" that he encountered at his previous Outpost show December 15, 2006? This show will be in the intimate confines of the Unitarian Universalist Sanctuary (250 seats) and will feature songs from last year's Sinners & Saints album. Of that album The Los Angeles Times' Mikael Wood writes "For all its stylistic variety, though, 'Sinners' hangs together thanks to Malo's consistently remarkable vocals.
