This January celebrate The Year of the Dragon at the Caldwell Public Library! Join us for a presentation on traditional Chinese culture through history, literature and dance.
The presentation will provide a brief overview of key dynasties, classic stories and fascinating characters from Chinese literature as well as classical Chinese dance and musical instruments. It will explain how Shen Yun Performing Arts uses dance to express Chinese civilization and its values.
Our presenter will be Ms. Kathleen Zhang, who has traveled with Shen Yun Performing Arts from 2007-2010. A Sound engineer at New Tang Dynasty Television in New York, which includes cultural exchange and the revival of Chinese culture as part of its mission, she is also the Assistant Director of Community Outreach for Shen Yun Promotions Intn'l. As part of Shen Yun's outreach program, Ms. Zhang has visited over forty organizations and community centers in the New York and New Jersey area to talk about Chinese culture and the performing arts.
