National Night Out Set For Tuesday Night In Caldwell

Caldwell announced its activities for National Night Out on Tuesday, including ice cream, law enforcement demos, balloon animals, and more.

CALDWELL, NJ — On the first Tuesday of August each year, police departments across the country encourage residents to leave their lights on, talk to neighbors, and get to know their local police to show criminals that they're vigilant against crime.

And many communities, including the Caldwells, host family friendly events.

This coming Tuesday, Aug. 2, the Caldwell Police Department host its National Night Out 2022.

National Night Out is described as "an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie."

This year's event in Caldwell will take place from 5-8 p.m.

The police said, "The night will include refreshments provided by Guerriero Gelato, Cloverleaf, entertainment, giveaways and more!"

There will also be tables with safety information from Police, Fire & EMS.

Not to mention: law enforcement demonstrations, bounce houses, balloon animals, obstacle courses, fire trucks, first aid squad vehicles, Police K9s, military trucks, DJ, food and refreshments, ice cream, and more.

It will take place in the Caldwell University Rear Student Parking Lot at 120 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell.
