Former Students Sue West Essex District, Allege Sex Abuse: Report

A group of former students are accusing a now-deceased teacher in Essex County of abusing them several decades ago, a report says.

CALDWELLS, NJ — A group of former students are suing the West Essex Regional School District for $50 million and accusing a now-deceased teacher of sexually abusing them several decades ago, a report says.

In total, seven people filed suit against the district, alleging that it failed to properly screen or investigate their complaints of sexual abuse. The allegations date from 1977 to 1985, NJ.com reported. Read the full article.
