Gridiron Plans Tailgate at State Championship Game
Tickets must be purchased in advance no later than 9 p.m. Tuesday

Fans of the Caldwell Chiefs football team won't be allowed on the field at Friday night's state championship game, but they can root them on during a pre-game tailgate.
The James Caldwell High School Gridiron Club will relocate the Bonnel Field concession snack stand to Kean University Field Friday for a tailgate from 4 to 6:15 p.m. in the parking lot.
Caldwell will play Madison High School for the Group II Section II State Championship at Kean in Union on Friday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m.

Tickets for the tailgate must be purchased in advance and are in addition to admission to see the game. The tailgate fee is $10 per person. Tickets will be sold on Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 29 and 30, during school lunch. Tickets may also be purchased from Jeff Lawshe, 40 Crane St., in Caldwell, 973-403-9673, or from Colleen Zaorski, 13 Lane Ave., West Caldwell. No tickets will be sold after 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30.
The menu is expected to include Italian hot dogs, as well as meatball, grilled chicken and cold cut sandwiches. (Hot dogs were sold out during the regular season.) Non-alcoholic beverages, including water, soda and hot chocolate, as well as potato chips, pretzels and other snacks will be provided.

Tickets for the game will be sold at the Kean University Field gate on Friday. Cost is $6 for adults; $2 for students with I.D.
Kean University is located at 1000 Morris Ave., in Union.
