As snow and winter storm conditions hit across the state, the National Weather Service is calling for a winter weather advisory continuing until 7 p.m. on Thursday.

The NWS is predicting snow accumulation of six to eight inches with isolated higher amounts in Eastern Essex, Eastern Union, Hudson and Western Union counties. According to the NWS, temperatures may reach into the mid-20s.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected.

Thursday Afternoon: Snow, mainly before 5pm. Steady temperature around 21. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 3 to 7 inches possible.
Thursday Night: A chance of light snow before 7pm. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 9. Northwest wind 3 to 8 mph.
Friday: Sunny, with a high near 22. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
