James Caldwell American Legion Installs New Officers, Honors Longtime Member

The James Caldwell Post 185 American Legion installed new officers at their annual dinner and honored William Booth of West Caldwell.

CALDWELL, NJ — The James Caldwell Post 185 American Legion installed new officers at their annual dinner last weekend.

According to a news release, the new officers include County Commander Darryl Collins, Commander Dan Handy, Vice Commander Mike Bettin, Chaplain Mike Festa, Historian Walter Baumgardt, Adjutant Fara Sanchez, Finance Officer Roger Ellert, Sgt at Arms, Ray Liptak, 2nd Vice Commander Jeff Dunn, Judge Advocate Paul Seligman and Service Officer Bill May.

During the May 6 meeting, the post also honored William H. Booth of West Caldwell for his 60 years with the organization.

Booth served in the U.S. Army in Korea, the post stated.
