James Caldwell High To Present Spring Musical: Legally Blonde
James Caldwell High School will present its annual spring musical "Legally Blonde" from March 23 to 26.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ — James Caldwell High School will present its annual spring musical “Legally Blonde” on March 23, 24, and 25 at 7:30 p.m. and at 2 p.m. on March 26 at the Center for Performing Arts at James Caldwell High School at 265 Westville Avenue in West Caldwell.
Admission is $10 and tickets are available starting on March 9 through Showtix4U.com or at the door. For Thursday’s performance only, senior citizens are invited to pay $5 per ticket.
According to a school news release, Legally Blonde, based on the award-winning Broadway musical and smash hit motion picture, tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. After Warner dumps her, Elle befriends her classmate Emmett and spunky hairdresser, Paulette; and learns that looks and smarts aren’t mutually exclusive. She realizes that law may be her natural calling after all.

More than 80 Caldwell students are participating in “Legally Blonde” through the cast, pit band/orchestra, and crew. The show contains some adult language and themes and is most suitable for guests 13 and older.
The Director/Vocal Music Director is Greg Paradis, Producer is Scott Chamberlain, Choreographer Mariel Letourneau and the Pit Director is Michael Mahadeen.

In addition to the performances, which will feature concession and merchandise sales, the students are hosting “Paulette’s Hair Affair” from 6 to 7:15 p.m. on Saturday and from 12 to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday where guests are invited to get pink nail polish or a hair braid from the sorority sisters of Delta Nu and meet some of the show’s canine stars. The beauty experience is $5 for either nail polish or hair braid, $8 for both services and $10 to include a photo with Bruiser Woods or Rufus. No reservations are necessary.
