Jewelry Reported Stolen From Home
West Caldwell chief asks residents to call police if they observe anything unusual.

A burglar allegedly entered a home through a first floor window Wednesday and stole an undetermined amount of jewelry, according to West Caldwell Police.
Police say a resident on Sweetwood Court reported that someone entered the house and took the jewelry from a first floor bedroom between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 28.
Officers checked surrounding homes in the area and found no indications of other burglaries. Area residents were also questioned about whether anything unusual was observed in the area during the possible time frame of the alleged burglary.

West Caldwell residents are asked to call the police at 973-226-4114 if they observe anything unusual in their neighborhoods and to use alarms if they have them.
