Let The Caldwell-Verona/Cedar Grove Rivalry Begin: Battle Of The Badges Softball Game 2015

Emergency responders from the Caldwells will pit their softball skills against their Verona/Cedar Grove counterparts in a Battle Of The Badges Charity Softball Classic on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Participating agencies will include the Cedar Grove Police and Fire Departments, the Verona Police and Fire Departments, The West Caldwell Police and Fire Departments and the North Caldwell Police and Fire Departments.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Community Park in Cedar Grove.

The event will include food (hot dogs and hamburgers), desserts and $10 mugs (free root beer refills).

No tickets are needed, but donations will be appreciated. Funds will benefit the family of Officer Ron Thorward of the Verona Police Department.
