Local Artist's Farewell Show Thru November at Art@1275c

Janet Kucks has been painting since she was a child. But her real inspiration has come from plein air painting in Italy for the past decade. The natural colors and light added to the sense of place, people, food and wine are truly captivating.

Janet studied Art and Graphic Design at The College of New Jersey, having zeroed in on watercolor during her senior year. She has been a water-colorist ever since.

She continues to study under the guidance of many of New Jersey and England’s accomplished watercolor professionals. She has won several local show awards and has exhibited as a member of the Essex Watercolor Club.

Her paintings capture the spirit of the outdoor light, shadows and brilliant local color.
