Local Ballot Set for November Elections

The Caldwell Council race will see two Republicans going against two Democrats for two opens seats.

Voters in the Caldwells went to the polls on Tuesday for the Primary Election and decided whom they wanted to put on the ballot this November.

In the Caldwell Council race, there are two seats open which carry three-year terms. 

Incumbent Thomas O'Donnell will be running on the Republican ticket with Pasquale Capozzoli, who received 217 and 218 votes in the primary, respectively.

Grace Kerrigan and Maureen McNish will be running on the Democratic ticket, who received 156 and 152 votes, respectively.  

Councilman John Coyle is not seeking reelection for his Caldwell Committee seat.

Two Republican incumbents in North Caldwell are seeking reelection. Councilmen Arthur Rees and Joshua Raymond both received 100 percent of the vote, getting 172 and 173 votes, respectively. 

Both seats on the North Caldwell Council carry three-year terms. 

The race for two seats on the West Caldwell Council is also noncompetitive. Republican incumbents Joseph Cecer and Stephen T. Wolsky are seeking reelection for three-year terms on the council. 

Cecer received 341 votes and Wolsky 335 on Tuesday.
