The Caldwell Environmental Commission hosts its annual
recycling fair at Borough Hall in Caldwell on May 3 (rain or shine).
Caldwell residents are welcome to pick up a free recycle bin, free mulch
(bring a bucket) plus a free oak tree seedling donated by the Bartlett
Tree Experts. Other activities include free face painting by JCHS
students, an eco-raffle, discount prices on rain barrels and compost
bins, a display of art recycling contest entries, information about
idling from the GCMS Ecology Club and information about trees as well as
invasive species. Bring your gently used bicycles to join the
Commission's Bike Swap. Help the local Pet Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)
by bringing any of the following items to be recycled: cellphones, ink
jet and laser toner cartridges, computers, iPods, digital cameras, and
business VoIP phones. There will be an Information Table and donations
to the local food bank will also be accepted. All ages welcome and no
registration required.
