Movin' On Up In The Caldwells: Students Learn About Coming School Year
Annual "Moveup Day" allows students to get a glimpse of middle school expectations and high school life.
Students in the Caldwells are moving on up.
On June 11, the West Essex Regional School District celebrated “Moveup Day,” an annual event where students get to visit the next grade on their educational journey.
The day is particularly important for sixth graders, who visit the middle school for the first time, and for 8th graders, who get their first glimpses of the high school.

West Essex Middle School Principal Vee Popat said he received positive feedback from everyone regarding Moveup Day.
“I’m extremely proud of our staff for setting a strong foundation with the students for the next school year. The students were excited to have a glimpse into their future at WEMS and WEHS, and I believe strongly that Moveup Day served its role as a critical piece to the transition process.”
