In North Caldwell: BOE Thanks Teachers For A Great School Year

Read the administration's words of praise for its educators.

As students around the Caldwell area graduate and move up to the next grade – capturing well-deserved praise from the community - it’s also important to remember the teachers who helped them succeed.

Acting on this sentiment, the North Caldwell Board of Education recently released a statement thanking the district’s teachers and educators for their service in 2014-15:

“As we close the chapter on our 2014-15 school year, the North Caldwell Board of Education would like to express our appreciation to our teachers. Ultimately, the success of the students - our children - rests on their skill, effort, professionalism and desire.

“Through guidance and education, our teachers mold our children into the people they will become. The teachers in our District spend countless hours not only in the classroom but preparing lessons, evaluating progress, counseling our children and serving our community. Whether they are getting up-to-speed on curriculum changes, dressing up as a 100-year-olds on the 100th day of school, giving the Harlem Wizards a run for their money to help raise money for the schools, making the extra phone call to the parents to discuss their children’s challenges or progress, or guiding a child through a difficult time, our teachers demonstrate every single day how they are willing to go above and beyond.

“These are true educators who, to paraphrase the words of Dr. Charles Glassman, impress upon our children that they possess the skills to discover their own greatness. They are true heroes to us, not only as board members, but also as parents. We encourage all of the members of the community to join with us in personally expressing our appreciation to our teachers for their dedication and devotion to their work.”
