North Caldwell Flushing May Cause Discolored Water, Pressure Drop
North Caldwell will be flushing fire hydrants for the next few weeks. Here's what to know.
NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — North Caldwell will be flushing fire hydrants for the next few weeks, and it may cause discolored water or low pressure for residents.
According to a recent advisory from the borough:
“The North Caldwell Department of Public Works/Water Department will be performing hydrant flushing in the evenings beginning Monday, Sept. 23. Flushing will be conducted Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. through 11 p.m. for approximately three weeks. Please expect discoloration of water and low water pressure when hydrants in your neighborhood are being flushed. Running faucets until water is clear will flush the discolored water.”
