North Caldwell Halloween-Themed 5K Will Honor Deceased Local Sports Fan
The memory of North Caldwell resident and Verona High School alum Nick Tanelli will live on through soccer.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The memory of North Caldwell resident and Verona High School alum Nick Tanelli will live on through soccer.
Tanelli, an avid soccer fan and father of two, passed away suddenly in the spring of 2013. But his memory – including his love for sports – continues through The Nick Tanelli Children’s Soccer Foundation, which provides scholarships each year to a male and female senior soccer player at West Essex, James Caldwell and Verona High Schools.
For its 3rd annual fundraiser, the nonprofit will host a 5K Run/Walk and Funny Bone Fun Run on Saturday, Oct. 29 in North Caldwell, with the profits going towards the The Nick Tanelli Children’s Soccer Foundation’s community programs.
