North Caldwell School Meeting Will Determine Whether Future Meetings Should Be All Virtual

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The North Caldwell Board of Education will meet in person and virtually next week and discuss — well, whether to continue meeting both in person and virtually.

The board will meet Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Grandview School cafeteria. If you attend in person, please enter through the cafeteria. The meeting will also be held via Zoom (see links and instructions below).

"At the meeting we will discuss whether or not the remaining 2021 Board of Education meetings should be a hybrid format or solely held virtually," according to a notice of the meeting.

There will also be other items on the agenda. Once available, it will be posted here.

How To Attend And Comment, In Person And Virtually

Face masks are required indoors as per Executive Order 251 unless you have a documented medical condition or disability. Executive Order 253 requires individuals seeking medical exemption from mask wearing to produce written documentation from a medical professional upon entry to the building. For those who are unable to attend in person (or those who do not feel comfortable doing so due to this state-imposed masking requirement or otherwise), you will also be able to participate in the meeting via Zoom, as described below.

As always, the meeting will have a public recognition portion during which community members will have an opportunity to address the Board. At that time, participants will be able to comment either in-person or virtually using the Zoom platform. Alternatively, a comment can be submitted in advance by emailing it to the Business Administrator / Board Secretary at mhalik@ncboe.org. If you submit a comment in advance, please make sure to provide your name and address as both are required for public comment; anonymous public comments cannot be accepted. All emailed comments should be submitted by 5:30 p.m. by the day of the meeting.
