North Caldwell Police Hiring Dispatcher: Here’s What It Takes
North Caldwell PD: Applicants must have "good moral character," be willing to staff 12-hour shifts and be expert multi-taskers.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — The North Caldwell Police Department is looking to hire a full-time dispatcher, officials announced last week.
The NCPD issued an advisory about the job opening on Dec. 27. According to police, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be 18-years-old
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Subject to a background investigation and must be of “good moral character”
- Must be able to multi-task while using radios, telephone and sophisticated computer systems
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts on weekends, holidays, days and nights
- Must successfully complete in-house training program
- 911/EMD certifications are preferred
People can pick up applications in person at the North Caldwell Police Department, 136 Gould Avenue. They should submit copies of any applicable training certificates and/or a resume.
